Privacy Policy

ClipCutter · Last updated: October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ClipCutter ("the application") handles information. ClipCutter is a personal, self-hosted tool operated by a single user to create short video clips and upload them to that user's own YouTube channel.

1. Information we access

When you authorize ClipCutter with your Google account, the application requests access to the following through Google OAuth 2.0:

2. How information is used and stored

3. YouTube API Services

ClipCutter uses YouTube API Services. By using ClipCutter you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

4. Revoking access

You can revoke ClipCutter's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Deleting the locally stored token file also removes all stored credentials.

5. Data retention and deletion

Because all data is stored locally by the operator, deleting the local files (credentials, downloaded videos, and generated clips) permanently removes that data. No copies are retained elsewhere.

6. Children's privacy

ClipCutter is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
